Our journey began in the 1950s when our father initiated his own retail venture, specializing in herbs and spices, situated in the bustling streets of Baghdad, Al-Shorja. Over time, Al-Shorja evolved into one of Baghdad's major business and trading hubs.

 

As we grew up, we witnessed our father's profound passion for herbs, spices, and traditional medicines. In 2009, inspired by his legacy, we, the sons, decided to extend our family business. This led to the establishment of our global import company, Kanoon Sons Trading Ltd., marking a significant chapter in our story.

 

Diversifying our imports, we kicked off with a shipment from Indonesia, gradually expanding our reach to countries like India, China, and Vietnam. The business thrived, earning us a reputable standing and a loyal customer base.

 

In 2012, reflecting our commitment to family values and a desire for innovation, we rebranded as Utur Al-Areej for General Trading and Construction Ltd. Our journey continued to flourish, and by 2023, we have expanded our dealings to include countries like Egypt, Mexico, and Pakistan, with plans for further expansion into Nigeria.
